Anyhoo...I started working on some wall art for their room that actually came out of my own head. The fabric I used to make Hudson's bedding is Riley Blake Wheels. Brown, kinda vintage-y, very cool. So I decided to do some photography art (cuz I'm such an artist) to go on the wall somewhere that picked up that vintage vibe.
It was super simple, easy, and free. I found the most vintage looking Hot Wheels I could find out of Maverick's massive collection, plus the Doc Hudson. Because I named my other kid after him.
I did my little photography set-up which included a piece of posterboard, two lamps, and a point and shoot camera set on the macro setting. I do not own a DSLR. But I am taking donations. :)
Picnik (which is closing!) is a great tool for editing. I used the Boost, Vibrance, and Cross Process effects on these.
I'll print them at Wal-Mart and then pop them into frames I bought for $1 a piece two years ago.
Obviously, the real sneak peak will come tomorrow or Friday when I figure where I'm going to put them.
